Absolute Entertainment Live Music & DJs

I used Absolute as my wedding ceremony & reception DJs. This is kind of a mixed review for me - more positive than negative though. On the con side, it was a bit hard getting in touch with Chris at the company was a bit hard via email - sometimes my emails went unanswered, which was annoying. The big negative was that the timeline for the reception got really messed up - things got really out of order, and the father/daughter dance got skipped altogether until my videographer was about to leave and I realized we hadn't done it, and reminded the DJs. On the positive side, the music was great. I didn't have an extensive must play, or don't play list for the wedding and the stuff they chose was great. I got a lot of compliments on the music (which I really had nothing to do with lol!) The DJ's dressed and acted professionally, and the lights and sound were set up well. Chris & Vicky were VERY knowledgeable in the planning session. They even edited down my processional so that my entry would fall at the right time in the music. They really thought of everything. All in all things went pretty well and I'm happy I used them.

The husband and wife team is great. I met with them before the wedding and I was so touched with the care that they took to help me pick out songs that went with my music interests for different portions of the reception based on my musical interests. They also helped pick our the father/daughter dance, which was very, very special. Though I'll admit I still figured that the DJ that showed up at the wedding would just play whatever suited his fancy. I didn't quite believe he would play each and every song that I picked out from cocktail reception, dinner to dancing. I even sent my list to a friend saying "but we'll see what they actually play". I was wrong! From Built to Spill to Old 97's to David Bowie he played it ALL. The songs that remind us of each other, special times, special places or we just LOVE- he played them all. The DJ (who b/c it was kind of a crazy day, I feel bad but don't remember his name) was so attentive to me. He explained everything to me and made sure I knew what was going on and when. My guests had a blast. My new 89 year old grandmother in law didn't leave the dance floor all night. My groom, who doesn't dance, DANCED! My neices and nephews have never had so much fun. My 4 year old niece came up to me at 10:00 pm and told me emphatically that "this is the best party I've ever been to in my entire life". I couldn't agree more with her. I highly recommend Absolute Entertainment!

From the Classical Guitarist on Friday at the Presidential Suite of the Eldorado Hotel to the String Quartet at The Loretto Chapel followed by La Marcha by the Mariachis to the great supper and dance music at La Fonda, you and your team did it all. You were the consummate MC and the selections that you, Gina and Jake chose were just great. We particularly liked your getting the women (only) up to dance as well as the surprise guest from the Delfonics. Also, the interactive table singing was a lot of fun and a perfect event to get everyone in the mood to party. You did a great job and working with your music company gave us seamless coverage with a great sound that met all of our musical needs. You really made us look good. We now understand why couples change their wedding dates to make sure that they can get their music from Absolute Entertainment. Your group did a great job, absolutely!!!! My husband and I were very happy with our decision to hire a DJ for our afternoon wedding, considering that it was an afternoon wedding where getting people to dance would be a little difficult. The DJ's did a great job. The owner Vicky was fun to work with and she definitely knows how to run a wedding. She has a great list of musicians to work with. We were happy with her help in making our day perfect.
